Glassware and Culinary Weekend Workshop

Over two days, you will experience the creative freedom to make a unique appetizer plate or tray out of fusible glass followed by an afternoon of education as our guest chef shares their knowledge and creativity with a gastronomic demonstration and then serves their creations to you on your unique glass creation.

Learn two ancient arts, culinary and glass fusion in one weekend, and feel like you had an incredibly unique getaway without travelling far.

Fused Glass Workshop

Saturday April 15 from 10am to 1pm / Location: Studio - 3809 Otter Point Rd, Sooke

Using 6000-year-old Egyptian secrets and techniques, you will ignite your imagination as you create stunning and unique fused glass art. Bring your sense of adventure! Be prepared to have people ask, "How did you do that?" Create, under Susan's supervision, a plate up to 7" in diameter.

No experience required.  Techniques are easy and loads of fun!

Cheese Tasting 101

Sunday April 16 from 2pm to 4pm / Location: L'Apéro Bistro - 1028 Blanshard St, Victoria

Enhance your appreciation of cheese by learning key tasting skills! We'll teach you the words to describe the taste, colour and texture of your favourite cheeses, how to use all of your senses to fully experience a cheese tasting, the important steps in Cheesemaking and some history.

Your glass creations will be used by the L'Apéro's team to build cheese plates to enjoy at the end of the workshop.

We have an extensive list of exceptional wines available for purchase to pair with your cheese plate.  All of this hosted with passion in a friendly atmosphere by Guillaume, co-owner of L'Apéro and cheese enthusiast. Join us to start your journey in Cheese Wonderland!
